Marina Kibardina, CPA, MBA, MS/Economics
Marina Kibardina is a Certified Public Accountant. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Ms. Kibardina obtained her Master and Bachelor of Science in Economics degrees at the Russian Academy of Finance and Economics. She is a member of Illinois CPA Society.
Ms. Kibardina has over 20 years of public accounting experience that includes auditing, tax and consulting. She has a proven track record of successful clients’ representation before the IRS and state revenue agencies. Her broad experience ranges from managing accounting and operational processes, to business plans, business valuations, and business process improvements at both for-profit and non-profit entities, nationally and internationally. Ms. Kibardina has also taught selected advanced accounting and taxation courses at local colleges and conducted various seminars for international students, and business owners.
In addition to working with clients as a CPA at various professional service firms, Marina Kibardina’s prior work experience includes working as a CFO of privately held companies in retail, wholesale and industrial market sectors, and as an economist and financial analyst. Her expertise with non-profits includes development and successful implementation of strategies aimed at outcomes improvement and funds optimization, as well as assistance in tax exempt status applications.
Ms. Kibardina is an award-winning economist. She developed and incorporated an economic model at the South-Urals Railway Systems’ entity in Russia that significantly improved operational results. She is renowned for initiating and supporting transformational changes in organizations, and for developing and implementing successful strategies for operational and fiscal excellence.
Marina Kibardina served as a member of the board of the International Federation of Muay Thai Association (IFMA) and as a promoter and business manager for Russian Thai Boxing team that competed worldwide.
She was formerly a member of ASBO (Association of School Business Officials) and IASBO (Association of School Business Officials International) and currently is a treasurer and a member of the board of directors of Lake center Place Association in Grayslake, Illinois.
